NRNA – SKI Convention: Call For Abstract

Dear Friends,
It is our great honor to invite you to participate and submit abstract, paper in the NRN ICC America’s Regional expert conference on the “Skill, Knowledge, and Technology Transfer in Nepal”, which is going to be held (along with NRNA NCC USA’s 8th Annual General Meeting) on June 16-17, 2018. Please use the following reference and steps to submit the abstract, paper and for any question regarding the abstract, paper submission.
Call for Abstract Submission
The abstract, paper or proposal, innovation pitch can be submitted through website http://americas.knowledge-nrna.org as an attached PDF document, please use the abstract submission instruction step by step, or it can be sent directly by email: [email protected]. All accepted abstracts, and papers will be compiled in the Conference Proceedings.

Conference Date: June 16-17, 2018
Travel Fund
Presenters and participants will be responsible for their travel arrangement, visa along with the accommodation.
Eligibility to submit the paper: Abstract submission is open to all members. Nepali Diaspora scientists, students, researchers from all sectors such as academia, government, industry, and education will be given high priorities. The theme of all the papers should include the groundbreaking ideas, strategies, and relevant policies or products that will explore visions and contrast avenues for modern changes and developmental impacts in Nepal.
Conference Topics:
Abstracts and Presentations are expected to be aligned with the interest and priorities of the government of Nepal—such as.
Energy & infrastructure (renewable and non-renewable energy, transportation, information and communication technologies, irrigation, urban development, smart cities)
Health & medicine (including telemedicine), environment, education/literacy, population, and agriculture
Science, Technology (including biotechnology & nanotechnology), engineering, big data, and artificial intelligence
Youth employment, women empowerment, and entrepreneurship
Policies for good governance, inclusive growth, fiscal reform and economic transformation and development
Inter-disciplinary presentations are encouraged. Abstract of any field with innovation idea that demonstrates the developmental influences in Nepal will also be welcomed.
Awards:
To promote the young diaspora scientists, who consist of undergraduate and graduate level students, the organizing committee plans to recognize four outstanding papers/ abstracts. Papers for abstracts and presentation will be appraised by the abstract review committee and panels of associated sessions. The winner will be awarded cash of maximum $200, $150 and $100 and $50 and certificates for first, second, third and fourth awardees respectively.

Abstract submission*: May 1-May 15, 2018
Abstract review and Acceptance: May15-May 19, 2018
Notification of acceptance**: Authors will be notified by May 20, 2018
Acceptance of authors: May 25, 2018
*Late abstract submission: The abstract review committee will make a decision upon request of the author for late submission.

Font: Times New Roman Title: Bold, size: 14 Author’s names (including co-authors), affiliations, email address: Italics, size 10
E-mail of the corresponding author: italics, size 10
Abstract Text (Body): size 12 Keywords: 3 – 5 words, italic, size 12 Note: Please italicize and underline where appropriate (e.g., Italicize species’ name)
Note: In the abstract, authors are encouraged to briefly include information on how the research findings or knowledge could be utilized in the context of Nepal.
